Geriatric Care Manager?
A Professional Geriatric Care Manager’s (PGCM) role is complex
and varied, with the goal of assisting older adults and their families
in meeting long term care arrangements.
The PGCM is a trained, experienced professional who helps aging people and their families develop solutions to the challenges of aging. A PGCM may function as an advocate, liaison, and/or support system to the client. An expert problem solver, oftentimes the professional PGCM makes recommendations so the client and his or her family may make informed decisions on the management of elder care.
